It's time for the conclusion of this Google Tools for School Class.  I can't say enough how much I learned and with that I can move forth and continue to improve my team's website.

It has been brought to my attention that there are holes in my project.  There is a reason for this.  I am a member of a five person team and their input is essential to the quality of this website.  I won't speak for them as to their content, but I will be the person pushing them to get me the information to make this a great website. I partnered with Courtney White to set up the shell for this site.  I never received any feedback to my classwork or project until 10:00 AM on the last day of class, the project due date.

When I signed up for this class I had no reason to take this for credit with the expectation that there would be no outside work due to prior commitments this summer.  My goal was to learn about Google universe and be able to apply what I learned in the classroom. This will be evident in the future.  NOT today!

Understandably, I refuse to fill out the course evaluation since I don't believe I can give an unbiased, clear headed position at this time.  I work regularly with all the great teachers of this course and don't want to ruin our relationship.

I am probably the first person to challenge the way this class was set up and I apologize for being so bull-headed.

It's been a long journey this week.  I've changed my mind several times on the topic of my project.

I've finally decided that the best use of my learning from this week is to spend my time enhancing my team website for the Travelers.  I turned off public access and will return with a killer website in time for the last class on august 16 th.

Google Gadgets will enhance the team website to disseminate information to improve communication with parents!

The added Gadget for an email subscription will facilitate just that!

Matt at work!

Teaching us blogger!

I find all the tools really cool but remembering how to use them and all the procedures challenging!
This is a practice blog in conjunction with the google tools for schools.

I noticed that there are many useful tutorials on this website to get me started in a specific area of Google.
